Since when smartphones are priced higher than (thin) laptops?

Well, sometime during 2013 and 2015. And it's all because Samsung.

And not only that, but I just can't belive how Apple is going "mainstream" while Samsung is princing higher every year. Roles are inverting and in the meantime, we are paying more for a phone than a laptop. Crazy world.

I would like to add that I chose the ATIV line since it was a "fair" contendor for the Macbook air entry level. The Chromebook (entry level laptop for Samsung) is way to cheap to be in this ring. I also went with smartphones of 32 GB and then 64 GB, all of them unlocked.

As you can see in the footnotes, the scrapping was done by hand. No bots were used this time. From now on I will, in order to track the depreciation of both, iPhone 6 and Galaxy S 6.

Go to the footnote for the source(s) of the prices[^1]
